Presets and Saved Blocks

Start sections from 16 built-in presets, then build your own reusable section library with Saved Blocks - clone, do not rebuild.

You should almost never build a section from a blank canvas. The builder ships 16 ready-made Section Presets, and anything you design yourself can be saved as a reusable block and dropped into any page. Working from a library is faster and, more importantly, it keeps every page of a site (and every site you build) consistent.

Section Presets#

When you add a new Section, the element library offers a Presets tab with 16 built-in section skeletons:

PresetWhat you get
Hero (centered)Full-width headline, sub-text, and CTA, centered
Hero (split)Headline + CTA left, image right
Feature grid (3)Three-column feature grid
Feature grid (4)Four-column feature grid
Services (3 cards)Three service cards
Stats bandA row of headline numbers
Testimonials (2)Two quotes side by side
Testimonial (single)One centered quote
CTA band (centered)Full-width call-to-action band
CTA (split)Text left, button right
Pricing (3 tiers)Three pricing columns
Logo cloudA strip of logos
Gallery (3)Three-column image gallery
Team (3)Three team cards
Section introEyebrow + heading + intro text
Two-column textLong copy flowed into two columns

Using a Preset#

  1. Click the add control between Sections
  2. Open the Presets tab
  3. Pick a tile - the Section lands with sensible placeholder copy and layout
  4. Replace the placeholder text and images with real content

Presets are starting points: after insertion they are ordinary Sections, Rows, and elements you can restructure freely.

Saved Blocks (My Presets)#

Saved Blocks are your own library. Any section you have built and styled can be saved and reused - across pages and across the sites you manage.

Saving a Section#

  1. Select the Section you want to reuse
  2. Choose the save-as-preset action
  3. Give it a recognizable name (e.g. "Estimate CTA - dark" beats "Section 3")

Reusing One#

  1. Click the add control where you want it
  2. Open the My Presets tab in the element library
  3. Pick your block - a copy is inserted into the page

The inserted copy is independent: editing it does not change the saved block or other pages that used it.

The Clone Workflow#

The habit that separates fast, consistent site builds from slow, drifting ones:

  1. Design once. Get a section genuinely right - spacing, brand classes, mobile behavior.
  2. Save it.
  3. Clone everywhere. Every similar need starts from the saved block; you swap content, not structure.
  4. Never rebuild by hand. A hand-rebuilt "almost the same" section is how sites drift into inconsistency.

When you port an existing site into Seedly Sites, the migration pipeline can detect a site's recurring section layouts and add them to the tenant's saved-block library automatically, so the site's own design system is waiting in My Presets when you start editing. See Port a Site.

Presets and Brand Styling#

Presets and saved blocks pair with the brand system: sections built from shared brand classes (see Brand DNA) stay on-brand even when cloned into a page months later, because their styling lives in one global place rather than being baked into each copy.

As with all edits, new or cloned sections appear on the live site after the next manual Deploy.
