How to Manage 50 Client Websites From One Dashboard

Running client sites out of a dozen logins and a spreadsheet does not scale. Here is how I manage a whole book of client websites from a single dashboard.

How to Manage 50 Client Websites From One Dashboard

There is a specific kind of pain that shows up around client site number fifteen. You cannot remember which host a site is on, which login gets you in, or when that certificate expires, and you are keeping the whole thing together with a spreadsheet and hope. I lived in that spreadsheet for too long. Managing multiple client websites from one dashboard is what got me out.

Why the scattered setup breaks

When each client site lives in its own separate account, on its own separate platform, you do not have a system. You have fifteen systems, and you are the integration between them. Every update is a login hunt. Every check on whether a site is still up is a manual one. The overhead grows with every client, which means the more successful you get, the more of your week disappears into admin.

That is backwards. Adding a client should add revenue, not an afternoon of maintenance you now owe forever.

What one dashboard actually gives you

The fix is a single place that knows about every client site you run. Here is what that changes day to day.

  • Every client site in one list, with its status visible at a glance
  • One place to push updates instead of logging into fifteen accounts
  • Per-client branding and access without a separate tool for each
  • One deploy pipeline, so going live is the same three steps every time
  • Team roles set once, not re-invented per client
The goal is that adding your fiftieth client costs you the same effort as your fifth. That only happens when the sites live in one system instead of fifty.

Why you have to own it to get this

Here is the part that took me a while to accept. You cannot really get a true single-pane setup by renting fifteen separate platforms, because none of them wants to be the one dashboard for the others. The clean version only exists when the platform running all your client sites is one thing that you control.

That is exactly why I built Seedly Sites as a multi-tenant platform. One install, every client site under it, per-tenant branding and roles built in. The reason a new client is a few minutes of work instead of an afternoon is that there is one system doing the work, not fifty accounts I am stitching together by hand.

Raise your ceiling

Count how many separate logins it takes to touch every client site you run right now. That number is your ceiling, because your week only has so many hours to spend hunting through it. One dashboard is how you raise the ceiling. The hosting layer under it is in hosting client sites on Cloudflare Pages, and letting clients into it safely is in letting clients edit their site without breaking it.

One system, not fifty.

You are not buying alone.
